Look! A distraction!

The sky is blue. The sun is shining. And I’m having the hardest time completing even the simplest sewing task. I’m so inspired by my new Japanese clothing pattern book, but when I see the maze of overlapping lines and angles I realize that there is probably a load of laundry that needs to go in the dryer. And then there is the new puppy that my mother-in-law brought home. It combined with my equally adorable daughter and the cuteness level is about to skyrocket. The garden is calling my name. And camping, I want to go camping! With all of these distractions I did manage to sew up some pretty cute little numbers. The petticoat pants are probably my fave and the next pair I’m going to add some real pretty lace to the ruffle hem. I did it. I’m proud of myself, now only ten more pairs…of each. Ugh. The Indie Made boutique will have a few of these items in the next couple weeks. Go see them, try them on, and buy them. It may be the only way to force me out of distraction mode and make me be more productive. Please.
Spring Skirts!

One of my very favorite things to make is Spring and Summer skirts. I get to go shopping for colorful and unique fabrics. I get to buy a lot of different fabric, and I get to sew things for the ladies…including myself. It is the best feeling when a warm and sunny day in early Spring inspires you to wear a skirt and kick up your packed away heels. We get to shed some layers, and show our skin again. Check out these new beauties on the way to the IndieMade boutique. This is just a sample of a huge pile of skirts I’m working on. Now go outside and look for signs of Spring!
